This May, Battersea Power Station blooms with the launch of its ‘Botanical Atelier’.
From the 4th to the 6th and then again from the 9th to the 12th, this unique embroidery pop-up lets shoppers add a bespoke, floral touch to their fashion and homeware buys for free. This event features skilled work by The Lost Girls and Rosie Brain.
British contemporary artist Claire Luxton, in collaboration with MTArt Agency, spearheads this vibrant venture. Her ‘Field of Dreams’ art installation provides a lush backdrop in Turbine Hall A. It dives deep into themes of nature, mental health, and self-awareness. This massive installation stands 12 metres tall and showcases 33 layers of intricately printed fabric.
As you personalize your items, you’ll enjoy an environment rich in botanical expertise from Moyses Stevens and the classic scents of Penhaligon’s ‘Halfeti’ fragrance. This event is not just about shopping—it’s a full sensory experience that celebrates British craftsmanship and artistic innovation.
Don’t miss the special shopping event on the 9th of May from 5 pm to 8 pm. It features talks from fashion and beauty experts like celebrity hairstylist Paul Edmonds. Shoppers can enjoy exclusive discounts, complimentary refreshments, and gifts from luxury brands.
Cap off your visit with a bespoke cocktail at Searcys Champagne Bar. Inspired by Luxton’s installation, the Field of Dreams cocktail perfectly captures the event’s essence.
Battersea Power Station is easy to reach, with its own Zone 1 Underground station and options by bus, bike, and even Uber Boat by Thames Clippers. This makes it a prime spot for an enriching cultural experience.
So, grab your shopping bags and get ready to personalize your spring wardrobe at Battersea Power Station’s ‘Botanical Atelier’. Whether you come for the art, the ambiance, or the exclusive shopping, there’s something for everyone this spring.
