Books and Beers: LiBARary pops up in Brixton

From Wednesday 20th to Sunday 24th November, Brixton Brewery is teaming up with Lambeth Libraries to bring us the LiBARary—a pop-up combining two of life’s best things: books and beers.

What’s All This About Then?

The concept is simple but genius. Brixton Brewery has found that Londoners are increasingly enjoying books in bars (because why not?), so they’ve partnered with Lambeth Libraries to create a space that’s perfect for readers and drinkers alike.

Here’s what you can expect:

• A mini-library right in the taproom, courtesy of Book Stop Brixton.
• A chance to donate a book in exchange for a free pint—so your old novels can find new homes while you enjoy a drink.
• Lambeth Libraries on hand all week to help you sign up for membership, giving you access to up to 20 books from 10 local libraries at any one time.

What’s On

This isn’t just about grabbing a book and a beer—there’s a full schedule of literary events to get stuck into:

• Wednesday 20th November: Cosy Reading Club with It’s Hardback Out Here.
• Thursday 21st November: Brixton BookJam with live readings and an author Q&A.
• Saturday 23rd November: Pints, Poems & Prose featuring poetry workshops and live readings. (£5 entry includes a pint!)
• Sunday 24th November: Dedicated Reading Afternoon—find a comfy spot and settle in with a good book.

Entry is free for most events, but booking is recommended as space is limited.
