% Arabica brings Kyoto’s coffee culture to Battersea Power Station

Battersea’s vibrant scene just got a major caffeine boost with the opening of % Arabica’s latest London location at Battersea Power Station.

After much anticipation, the café officially opened its doors two weeks ago, and coffee lovers have been flocking to experience the unique taste of Kyoto’s coffee culture.

Coffee with a global reputation

Originating in Kyoto, Japan, % Arabica has become a global sensation, boasting over 200 locations worldwide since its debut in 2013. Known for its Kyoto Latte and Spanish Latte, the brand has captivated coffee enthusiasts with its expertly crafted drinks. The Battersea location proudly continues this tradition, serving signature beverages alongside flat whites, matcha lattes, and single-origin pour-overs that highlight their dedication to quality and craftsmanship.

Designed to impress

Located in Turbine Hall A, the café’s design combines modern minimalism with Battersea Power Station’s industrial charm. Paris-based architectural firm Ciguë, led by Sebastian Erazo, created a stunning space featuring modular wall panelling and a central counter built around a preserved yellow brickwork column. The design seamlessly blends the building’s rich history with a sleek, contemporary aesthetic, making it an inviting spot for coffee enthusiasts and casual visitors alike.

Pastries to match the coffee

Coffee is better with something sweet, and % Arabica doesn’t disappoint. Their menu includes freshly baked delights like Cashew Almond Croissants, Pain au Chocolat, and the indulgent White Chocolate Miso Cookie. For something truly unique, try the Bantu Cinnamon Bun or the delicate Vanilla Canelé. There’s a treat to complement every coffee.

A new reason to visit Battersea

Already home to over 150 shops, bars, and restaurants, Battersea Power Station has cemented its reputation as one of London’s must-visit destinations. The addition of % Arabica adds a world-class coffee experience to the mix. Whether you’re a coffee aficionado or simply looking for a cosy spot to relax, this new opening promises to deliver.
