Café Chaiwala Arshad Khan has just opened on Upper Tooting Road, bringing its signature authentic Pakistani chai and street food to the heart of South London.
Stepping into Café Chaiwala is like stepping into a bustling roadside dhabba in Islamabad. Expect bright truck art, a mini Urdu library, and a menu bursting with rich, comforting flavours. Whether you’re after a steaming cup of karak chai or craving a plate of freshly made desi snacks, this place is all about bringing people together over food.
Arshad Khan became an overnight sensation back in 2016 when a photo of him serving chai went viral. Since then, he’s gone from street vendor to entrepreneur, growing his brand into a global franchise. Now, thanks to brothers Asif and Yousuf Khaliq, who have invested over £250,000 in the UK expansion, Tooting gets to be part of the story.
