Celebrate Pride all year long at this Gala Event hosted by Gaydio

There is always room for more Pride events and this one, which takes place in the iconic Park Plaza hotel, is going to be extremely fabulous.

There’s a really, really fabulous event happening at Park Plaza Riverside and if you love a good time, love to dress up, love some great food and drinks and love some top quality entertainment then you’re going to need to get your ticket to this one stat. It’s happening on the 2nd September and we strongly recommend cancelling any plans that you’ve already made…

There’s a bit of everything in this gala evening. Kicking off at 6.30pm guests will start by being greeted into the gorgeous Park Plaza, the hotel perched on the river right in the heart of Vauxhall, with a welcome cocktail to get everyone in the mood. It’s vital to line the stomach before dancing the night away and luckily the talented chefs at Park Plaza has this covered. They are putting on a delicious three course meal where you’ll be able to choose between a meat or vegan option and it looks really, really special. The starter is either smoked trout gravlax or a smoked tofu with braised mushrooms, mains are a duo of beef and chicken with triple cooked dauphine or a luxurious heritage carrot risotto and finally a fruity apple and lemon mousse or a chocolate brownie. That’s a menu that will certainly set you up for the rest of the party. Of course, you’ll need something to wash all that goodness down and included in the tickets is a half bottle of wine. Perfect.

Then the party will start in earnest and this is an evening where the concept of ‘less is more’ is null and void. Veronica Green (as in, RuPaul’s Drag Race Veronica Green) is putting on an extra special performance and the category is ‘SPARKLE’ so you can expect all the sequins and glitter. There will also be live music from “Ferrari” singer, Miggy Dela Rosa, and then the night will continue until late with a DJ set from one of Gaydio’s headline DJs. But it’s not just the performers who are bringing the sparkle- guests are being encouraged to go big on their outfits. The dress code is ‘your most expressive self’, interpret as you will, but go big- as we said, this is not the moment where less is more.
