The Little Orange Door is going green for St Paddy’s Day! Read on for all your chance to win tickets, may the luck of the Irish be with you.
Our neighbourhood ‘house party’ destination are putting on a St Paddy’s Day to remember. They’re ditching their signature orange for green on the 17th March for an evening celebrating all things Irish.
In classic TLOD style, they’ll be kicking proceedings off with a supper club. This family-style three course starts with a very appropriate cocktail: Guinness and Espresso martinis! Once you’ve had an injection of the Irish spirit, you’ll be treated to plates of traditional Irish home comforts. Leek and potato soup or home cured salmon to start followed by a Guinness and barley lamb stew with lamb and vegetables (which can also be made vegan). Served with potatoey goodness in the form of colcannon mash with kale and potato scones, plus a green goddess salad cause, you know, ‘green’. Finish up with your choice of Bailey’s cheesecake (again, can be made vegan if you’d prefer), Paddy’s post pudding tipple or a ‘Tullamore Dew’ Irish coffee. To be sure, you won’t be boogying on an empty stomach, and with all that carbs-potato fuel you’ll be itching to get up on the dance floor…
… Which is good news because from 9.30pm a live Irish band will be taking to the stage for an hour. After their stint the resident DJ will be taking over to accompany you into the wee hours of the morning. Yep, you’ll be sham’rockin’ and rolling all night long. We can’t think of a better way of celebrating St Patrick’s Day.
