Whether you like it or not, Christmas season is officially here. What better way to dive right in than with the Clapham Lights switch on.
Right, that’s it. We are going full Christmas now. Halloween is done, bonfire night finished and now we are wholeheartedly jumping into the festive season. Which means that we get to look forward to twinkly lights adorning our streets, something that makes the dark evenings just about bearable.
Clapham Old Town has announced its official Christmas light switch on date. On the 2nd December head to the Polygon the iconic ‘flying hedgehog’ (last year it was a goat) will be switching on the lights with the help of a social guest. Last year Miriam Margolyes did the honours so we’ve got big expectations for this years’ talent!
It’s going to be a busy day around the tree! Entertainment starts at 3pm, where there will be decoration making workshops, mulled wine, live music, carol singing, rides and stalls too… Pick up a mince pie and get ready to kick start the festivities.
