El Pastor Spices Up Battersea Power Station with Tacos and Mezcal

The culinary landscape of Battersea Power Station is getting yet another delicious boost, and this time, it’s El Pastor making waves.

Joining the ranks of an already vibrant food scene, this Mexican eatery is set to open its doors, marking its fourth location alongside siblings in Borough, Soho, and King’s Cross. For those not in the know, El Pastor is a gem from the Harts Group, the brains behind Quo Vadis and Barrafina, and draws inspiration from the Harts brothers’ days running a nightclub in Mexico City.

A Taste of Mexico City in Battersea

Expect an explosion of flavours, with a menu brimming with tacos (don’t miss the signature El Pastor pork taco), tostadas, and an abundance of margaritas and mezcal to wash it all down. The Battersea venue promises plenty of space to enjoy these delights, boasting seating for 90 indoors and an additional 60 on a year-round open riverside terrace.

Brunch with a Mexican Twist

El Pastor is upping the ante with a brunch menu exclusive to Battersea. Imagine starting your weekend with Huevos con Frijoles – scrambled eggs and refried beans, complemented by warm tortillas and zesty salsas. Or, tuck into a Chorizo Macha roll, featuring smoky salsa macha glazed chorizo in a lightly toasted brioche bun, topped with a fried egg. And for those who fancy a Mexican take on the English breakfast, El Pastor has you covered with a plateful of eggs any style, Mexican chorizo, frijoles charros, grilled tomato and mushroom, al Pastor ends, and crispy roasted potatoes.

New Delights on the Menu

But the innovation doesn’t stop at brunch. The main menu welcomes Queso Fundido, a heavenly mix of melted cheese, red onion, chilli de arbol, and pumpkin seeds, promising a melty, mouthwatering experience.

Battersea, get ready because it sounds like El Pastor is about to become your new favourite spot. We’ll keep you posted with more tantalising details as the opening date approaches. So, keep your eyes peeled and your taste buds ready for a Mexican culinary adventure right on your doorstep!
