Role: Community Social Media Manager/ Content Creator (Flexible)

Overview:

We are looking for a passionate and creative individuals to manage and grow our established local Instagram pages, such as Best of Clapham, Best Of Brixton, Best Of Battersea, Best Of Balham, Best Of Tooting and Best of South West LDN. This is a flexible, part-time role ideal for someone already engaged in the local community who wants to make extra income while contributing to a vibrant online presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation:
    • Regularly create engaging and visually appealing content, including photos, videos, and stories, that resonates with the local community.
    • Develop and execute content plans around local events, trends, and topics that are relevant to Clapham, Battersea, Brixton, Balham, Tooting and surrounding areas.
    • Curate user-generated content that highlights the best of the local neighbourhoods.
  • Community Engagement:
    • Actively engage with followers, responding to comments and messages promptly to foster a sense of community.
    • Collaborate with local influencers, businesses, and community groups to promote events, initiatives, and other community-oriented activities.
    • Stay informed about local happenings, ensuring the pages serve as a go-to resource for the latest news and events in the area.
  • Advertising and Revenue Generation:
    • Identify and approach local businesses to offer advertising opportunities on the pages.
    • Create compelling advertising packages that businesses find valuable, leveraging the established following of the pages.
    • Manage sponsored posts and partnerships, ensuring content aligns with the overall brand and community focus.

Requirements:

  • Local Knowledge: Deep understanding and passion for  the area.
  • Content Creation Skills: Strong experience in creating high-quality, engaging content (It’s import to have a good quality phone as UGC content done on your iPhone would be the best) for Instagram, including photography, videography, and editing.
  • Community Engagement: Ability to engage with and grow a local community online, with a focus on building relationships and fostering engagement.
  • Sales and Marketing Skills: Basic knowledge of sales tactics and experience in working with small businesses to create advertising opportunities.
  • Flexible Hours: Ability to work flexibly, dedicating a few hours a week to manage content creation, posting, and engagement.
