This Korean restaurant has opened its doors on Hildreth Street in Balham. If you like dumplings, fried chicken and ramen, here’s your spot.
Kanji has been running since 2016 when it opened in Kingston. But now they’re frequent market vendors at 6 sites across London; from Tachbrook Street Market (Pimlico) to Tabard Street Food Market (Borough), they are really covering the corners of London. With such a broad spread across the capital they’ve managed to gain a loyal following of foodies who flock to their stalls for their bibimbap, dumplings and fried chicken, to name just a few highlights from their menu.
The ethos behind the street food vendor comes from its name. Kanji is the Korean word for ‘stylish’ and they use that to inspire the dishes they create and the quality of the food they serve. Now, under the watchful eye of Mr Lee, the brand’s owner, this family run Japanese/ Korean fusion restaurant have opened at 5 Hildreth Street. Get ready to have your lunchtimes seriously upgraded.
