More pasta for London! The Italian deli/bar/restaurant Lina Stores is a city wide favourite, and they’re soon opening in South Kensington.
Just a few months after opening in Clapham Old Town, Lina Stores have announced that they’ve got another SW location in the pipeline. And here’s the thing: there’s no such thing as too much pasta. Especially when the pasta is Lina Stores pasta. So the news of a brand new restaurant is music to our ears. The new site will be opening on Exhibition Road (where Le Pain Quotidien used to be) making it the perfect place to carb load before braving the crowds of the Natural History Museum or the V&A. And they’ll probably be open whenever you need your Lina fix too, because they’re planning on serving everything from your first bite of toasted sourdough in the morning to your last bite of tiramisu in the evening.
The all day restaurant will spill out into an outdoor terrace so you can soak up the striking views of South Kensington whilst sipping on your espresso when it’s warmer. Of course, you can expect to see your favourite Lina Stores dishes on the menu (linguine ai funghi, tagliolini al tartufo, those gorgeous Sicilian cannolo…) but there will be extras too. Some South Kensington specials include lumache with broad beans, mafaldine alla carbonara and mussel and ‘nduja marinara on grilled focaccia.
Hungry yet? The brand new Lina Stores is expected to open in spring this year. Watch this space for soft launch info.
