14 year old Clapham local Luna Belloli has made it to the final round of this brand new competition for young dancers. Good luck Luna!
There’s a brand new competition for young dancers: the UK Young Dancer Competition is split into two disciplines, classical and theatre, and is championing the up and coming dancers of the next generation. Available to be entered by those aged 14–18 years who live and train in the UK, the aim of the competition is:
There have already been several rounds; the first called for dancers to send in a video, the second asked for 50 dancers in each category to take part in a workshop from which 20 were selected for the finals. And this is where it gets exciting for us because 14 year old Clapham local, Luna Belloli, succeeded in all these rounds and has made it to the top 20! That means that Luna is in the grand finals which will be taking place in front of a live audience at the Royal Opera House on 3rd September. Coached by Leanne Benjamin AM OBE in preparation for the final, Luna is getting ready for the final by training an impressive 6 days a week alongside attending James Allen Girl’s School in Dulwich.
Best of luck to Luna, we are cheering for you!
