It’s back! Iconic as ever, the Northcote Road summer festival is returning this weekend. Gather your pals- that’s the weekend plans sorted.
The Northcote Road is turning into one big party this weekend because the annual summer festival is back! On the 15th and 16th July the street will once again be pedestrianised and, if you remember from Covid times when this was the norm, it really makes it an atmosphere like no other. Restaurants, cafes and bars will be permitted to takeover the road with their tables so you can eat, drink and be merry al fresco with your fellow SW Londoners… and there will be a lot of them out and about if past years are anything to go by!
The pedestrianisation will continue on until Sunday when the festival really kicks off. With no traffic on the road, stalls, performers and street food vendors will take over for you to enjoy. Of course, the 16th is the men’s Wimbledon final and if you are a big fan then don’t fret- there will be a big screen showing all the action so you won’t miss a thing. No doubt there will be a bar in close proximity to serve you as much Pimm’s as you need to easy the finals nerves! As like every year, this really is an atmosphere like no other, so if you need some plans for your weekend, then look no further.
