And it’s looking boozy, because New Zealand wine brand Cloudy Bay are in charge from now until 14th August. Time to get the bookings in.
Drinking a crisp glass of wine on a terrace overlooking the London skyline is a summers day dream. It’s a dream that has become reality this summer, because the OXO Tower has been taken over by the New Zealand wine brand Cloudy Bay to bring you all the al fresco drinking and dining your hot-weather-loving heart desires.
From now until the 14th August, Cloudy Bay are in residence at the iconic riverside location, and they’ve bought the good bottles with them. Cloudy Bay know what they’re doing: they were founded in 1985, making them one of the very first wineries in Marlborough, New Zealand, and since then have made a name for themselves on the global stage. This summer they are coming North of the equator to South London, where they are putting on a 6 course tasting menu, which is perfectly paired with selected wines.
The menu is looking elegant. Dorset crab, slow cooked pork belly, halibut and clam chowder and dry aged beef fillet, will all served with their very own Cloudy Bay pairing. If you’re not quite boozed-out then you have to try one of the specially created Cloudy Bay cocktails from the bar. Cloudy Berry or Grape-Brut Spritz, anyone? The terrace will be a gorgeous setting to indulge- think natural aesthetics, lots of plants and (hopefully) lots of sun too. Perched above the usual hustle and bustle of London life, this is ready to be a true oasis for you.
So what are you waiting for? Get your bookings in and get read to raise a glass of the good stuff!
