Popping up on the 17th November, this is going to be a magical Christmassy addition to your festive calendar.
Tipis on the Green is London’s first sustainable Christmas pop-up, and it’ll be landing on Parsons Green this November and running until 22nd December. In a time that is characteristically wasteful and excessive, it’s really cool that they are pledging to be as environmentally friendly as possible; from suppliers to sponsors, their impact on the Earth is first and foremost.
Aside from the environmental bits, Tipis on the Green are doing their bit with the local community too. Every morning until midday they’ll be hosting local businesses, groups and non-profits for free each morning. On top of that, they’ll be raising money for local charity Hammersmith & Fulham Giving; the true spirit of Christmas is alive here.
The whole thing will be charmingly Alpine themed- think vintage trinkets, ski related tchotchkes and, of course, the classic Christmas decor. It’s going to be a festive explosion and will transport you to the slopes with out the price tag (it’s free to enter!). There are things to do whilst you absorb the beautiful setting. Tipis on the Green have collaborated with Pimentae Drinks, a premium tequila company, so there’ll be a lot of tequila-based cocktails at the bar alongside the classic festive mulled wines and hot chocolates. Prime Time Beer is a collaborator too, so if a pint is more your thing then you won’t have to miss out. Grab a bite of warming food too; arancini, cheese fondues and there’s even a Champagne lunch deal where you can nab 2 sharing plates, 2 sides and 2 glasses of fizz for just £25pp! Merry Christmas indeed. Other than that, there’ll be a line up of events taking place within the cosiness of the tipis; wreath making workshops, talks on how to make your Christmas more sustainable and cocktail masterclasses to name but a few… there will be something there for everyone.
