In a direct response to the abduction and murder of Sarah Everard, the Met have announced plans to tackle violence against women in London.
As part of the plan, they will be trailing the use of plain-clothed officers outside busy nighttime areas like bars and clubs who aim to prevent predatory behaviour. The trail will start in Lambeth in the hope to be rolled out to other areas of London.
