Exciting news for London foodies – Michelin-starred chef Rohit Ghai is set to open Vatavaran, a new restaurant and cocktail bar, in Knightsbridge this November.
After a six-month break following the closure of their ‘vibe dining’ spot Geode, the team from Arrow Hospitality is making a comeback, this time sticking to what they know best – luxurious, high-end Indian cuisine.
Vatavaran is located on Beauchamp Place, and it’s going to be something really special. The restaurant will span multiple storeys, with each floor representing a unique element of the Himalayan landscape. It’s not just about the food here – the whole experience is set to take you on a sensory journey through the mountains.
At the very top of the building, you’ll find Shikhar, the fourth-floor cocktail bar, which is Sanskrit for ‘mountain peak’. This is where you’ll want to go to enjoy a carefully crafted cocktail while soaking up the chic atmosphere. The drinks list has been put together by Ghai’s business partner, Abhi Sangwan, who knows a thing or two about creating unforgettable cocktails.
If you’re a fan of Kutir or Manthan, Ghai’s other popular restaurants in London, then you’ll want to add Vatavaran to your must-visit list. Both of those spots were well-reviewed by the critics, so this new venture looks set to be another hit.
Vatavaran’s arrival follows closely behind the launch of Ambassadors Clubhouse in Mayfair, signalling London’s continued appetite for luxury Indian dining. With Ghai at the helm, we’re expecting big things from this new opening.
