Battersea Power Station is bringing festive cheer to London this Christmas, with a little help from Wallace & Gromit.
The beloved duo are the stars of a brand-new seasonal display that’s sure to light up your holiday season.
From now until New Year’s Eve, the Power Station’s river-facing wash towers will be transformed by two enormous Christmas trees, illuminated every evening between 5 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. But these aren’t your average trees—Wallace & Gromit have added their own inventive touch to the decorations, with plenty of hilarity and a bit of chaos, thanks to the ever-mischievous Feathers McGraw.
The display, created by the award-winning animation studio Aardman, is a true meeting of festive spirit and cutting-edge technology. The animation features Wallace & Gromit decorating the towering trees in their inimitable style, all projected onto the Power Station’s iconic 101-metre-high chimneys.
What makes it even more special is how it was made. The entire animation was shot using iPhone 16 Pro Max devices, capturing over 6,000 frames to create a vibrant 6K masterpiece. It’s a clever fusion of old-school stop-motion techniques and the latest tech innovations.
Apple’s Greg Joswiak said:
