What to do in Tooting this SEPTEMBER

Pinch, punch first of September! Welcome to the ninth month of the year, and here are a few things to keep you occupied in Tooting.

Go to a supper club

When: 13th September

Where: Unwined, SW17 0SN

We love Unwined for their intimate selection of delicious wines, and now we love them even more. They are hosting a supper club with Sisterhood Suppers, a group that ‘champions the work of creative sisters’. As well as your 3 course Mexican-influenced menu, you’ll get a complimentary glass of bubbly and there’s an optional wine pairing too. These only come around 4 times a year, so it is certainly worth snapping up tickets.

Join The Cult

When: 21st September

Where: Tram & Social, SW17 9NA

Travel back in time to the debauchery of 1920s Berlin for a night. Tram & Social will be your favourite new regular night out- this series is launching on the 21st and then will continue on the 2nd Saturday of every month. You can head to the first one for free but by the sounds of the live music, circus cabaret, DJs and dancing tunes, you’ll probably be back for more.

Say farewell to Sea Garden

When: 10th September

Where: Sea Garden, SW17 0RJ

For 5 years Sea Garden has been shucking oysters and serving Champaign to Tooting Market punters, and we will be sad to say farewell to them when they close. Head down to say goodbye for now on the 10th for their final service. The good news is that is really only is ‘for now’- they are opening a bigger site in Brixton’s Market Row- the oysters are never too far away.

Find your ‘one’

When: 6th and 20th September

Where: The Wheatsheaf, SW17 7PG

Looking to couple up as the weather gets cooler? The Wheatsheaf are giving you two chances this month by hosting speed dating events in their cosy pub. Head down, grab a pint and, you know, maybe find your soul mate too.
