The ‘Film Orchestrated’ series from Brixton Chamber Orchestra is back. This time the 15-piece band will be playing tunes to accompany some iconic silent films. Visual and audio entertainment in its very best form.


Kick off the weekend in style

Live Hip Hop, Afrobeats and RnB until late every Friday at The Blues Kitchen! You’ll find the creme de la creme of Brixton’s musicians, who will be performing both old and new school tunes to get you dancing.


Celebrate this 30th anniversary

There’s a celebration party at Pop Brixton that is marking 30 years since Wu Tang’s first album and A Tribe Called Quest’s Midnight Marauders! You already know what the music is going to be. And you’ll even get free entry if you RSVP.


Go to a HAUS party

Where: HAUS, SW9 7AW

It’s about connection at HAUS all the time, but especially this weekend. Owner, Simone, is hosting two events; the first is the ‘Queer Disco in a Plant Shop’ on the 3rd from 8pm until 1am and the second is on Saturday from 5pm-10pm. This will be a showing of a sustainable fashion collection, live performance and art. If we know anything about anything, the energy will always be good at HAUS.

If you’re not quite done with spooky season yet, then head over to Pop Brixton from 5pm on Saturday where there will be a mega party: DJ sets, workshops, face painting and Mexican food. Hunker down and dont move until the wee hours of Sunday.

Every Sunday (starting the 5th) Market Row will turn into a record lovers haven. From 1pm until 7pm there’ll be a record fair by DJ and record producer Andrew Ashong where he’ll be selling some of his extensive collection. And whilst you browse there’ll be a rotating guest DJ to keep the vibes good. All profits will go towards the maintenance of Ghana Planetarium.

Boubacar Kafando and Afro Tala are coming to Hootananny. Enjoy their individual styles of Afro Jazz and Indian ragas that come with a hint of electro. It kicks off at 8pm and finishes at 11pm, the perfect way to end a weekend.

The kitchen at Studio Z is being taken over by Filipino food specialists ‘Swilipino’ who will be cooking up a gorgeous, modern menu. There’ll be sweet treats from artisanal ice cream brand Araw, DJ Sunni D on the decks and a bar to keep you well lubricated. Sunday scaries don’t exist here.


Take your bike to the DR
