Winterville Festival Cancelled For The Third Year

The Winterville festival on Clapham Common has been cancelled for the third year in a row after the organisers withdrew their application – though the reason for this is yet unknown.⁠

The event is usually a big old wintery celebration, with music, films, food, drinks and rides descending to the common over the festive period. But sadly it isn’t to be this year.

Winterville organisers initially applied for permission in 2021 after a run of cancellations, but then withdrew their application after deciding to cancel Winterville for the 3rd year running. A Lambeth Council spokesperson said: “Winterville has not run at Clapham Common since 2018, and will not run this year either.⁠”

We will just have to find some more festive activities to keep us busy this year, even if that does include keeping our fingers crossed that next year we get the return of the festival.
