Oysters are the Marmite of the fish world. But if you are sitting on the right side of the fence then this is the festival for you.
The Woodman pub in Battersea is bringing back their annual oyster festival from Friday 30th September to the 2nd October and you’re going to want to clear your diaries. This year’s festival promises live music, a 5 course set menu, entertainment and a heck of a lot of oysters… obviously.
Between chucking back as many oysters as you can manage, you can munch on their extremely lovely looking five courses. Of course you’ll start with a plate of oysters, and then you can move on to more substantial dishes like confit duck or a spinach and ricotta ravioli and finish up with a posset or tiramisu. Delish. This event tends to sell out, so we’d advise booking up now to avoid disappointment!
