Battersea is getting a new pasta restaurant

Noci is coming south of the river! If you’ve been to the first site of the Islington-based restaurant then you’ll know: this is a big deal.

The 16th May is a big day for pasta lovers in the South West, because it is when Noci is planning on opening its second restaurant right here in Battersea Power Station. The restaurant is already known (and very, very loved) in Islington, where it has it’s first home right on the Green, and now they’re bringing their fresh pasta this side of the river.

You’ve only got to say ‘brown butter cacio e pepe ziti’ for the instagrammers to whip out their phones, but this restaurant isn’t just showy plates of beautiful food. It’s seriously delicious and has a menu that makes choosing your dinner near impossible. How is one meant to pick between an artichoke tagliatelle and a slow cooked beef shin and red wine ragu pappardelle? Pro tip: don’t. Get them both. The portion sizes are perfect for getting an extra few dishes for ‘the table’, meaning you can sample your way through a lot of their food in one sitting. But it’s not just the pasta that Noci nails. Keep your eyes out for their famously delicious focaccia and the spicy margaritas (though you won’t go wrong with anything from their cocktail list). We’re hoping their weekday lunchtime deal also makes the trip down south; £14 for 2 courses and a drink at a restaurant of this calibre is obscenely good value.

They’ll be opening on Level 1 of Turbine Hall B within the Power Station. 16th May can’t come soon enough.
