Oh how we love Black Culture Market. They pop up from time to time in The Department Store and create a space for small and emerging black businesses of African & Caribbean descent to show off what they do. They also create a vibrant space of discovery, diversity and quality shopping where you can browse numerous stalls for all kinds of products. Black Culture Market does what they do for three main reasons:

  • To help close the wealth gap
  • To create more jobs and opportunities
  • To inspire more ownership

All of that considered, it’s always a good time. As well as being able to find a multitude of items from small, interesting businesses you can keep fuelled with some delicious street food stalls and take a break from the shopping by chilling out by the live DJ. We’d highly recommend going down on both days because the traders switch out throughout the weekend and it’ll give you even more of a chance to soak up that atmosphere.

The next Black Culture Market is on the 4th and 5th March at Downstairs at The Department Store, SW9 8FR.
