If you identify as black, gay and ‘older folk’, then this is the party exclusively for you. And it sounds like a right knees up.
‘Black, gay and back in the day’ is returning to Brixton for another round. This Friday (25th November) will see the second rendition of the party. Between 7pm and 11.30pm Market Row will be transformed into a dance for, well- it’s in the title. Black, gay and ‘older folks’ are all invited to shimmy on down and boogie to a live DJ quartet (DJ Biggy C, Lynnée Denise, Ain Bailey and Cyndi Handson will be on the decks). Starting as an online resource to document black histories, the initiative has grown to incorporate live events too, and we are excited to hear that their second party will be right here in Brixton.
Tickets are likely to sell out, so if you are in the mood for a party make sure to book ASAP!
