If there’s anything we Brits love, it’s an excuse for a booze and boogie. Luckily there’s a bank hol on the horizon, and here’s what you should do.
More days off work mean that a Thursday night out is very much ON for the 14th, and if you are looking for a way to spend your time on the bank holiday then we might just have your answer. The Blues Kitchen is probably where you’re going to want to be for the entire weekend. Here’s what they’ve got on:
14th: Testify Gospel Choir are performing Beyonce classics, but with their special soul-focused twist. You’re going to be walking away with a sore throat and a happy heart.
15th: Old Dirty Brasstards (obsessed with that name, anyone else?!) are playing a selection of the Arctic Monkey’s tunes on their brass instruments. Sure to be a big old boogy sesh.
Doors open for both of these evenings at 7pm, and though there will be some on the door, you should probably go ahead and book tickets, they’re going to be popular. The fun thing is that you can carry on into their classic late night DJs and live music from 9pm. So that’s your whole evening (/weekend) sorted.
