A year goes fast doesn’t it? It feels like yesterday that we were writing about the opening of this Belgian spot… & now they’re 1 years old!
17th September is Brasserie Vonne’s 1st birthday so you’ve had a full 365 days to visit this charming Belgian restaurant/bar in Balham. But, if you’ve not quite got round to visiting yet let us let you a little about them. Brasserie Vonne is all about authentic Belgian cuisine and beers. They specialise in waffles and crepes during the day time, and of course, their famous moules marinière (a dish which deserves all of the good press they get)… plus handcrafted gins and Belgian beers to wash it all down with. And they’re not just doing food and drink. They love an event too and you’ll find them constantly hosting music events at their space.
Which is why it is no surprise that they’re celebrating their birthday with a huge event on the 17th. Their West End/Broadway bottomless brunch kicks off at 11.30am and will be a cabaret style bonanza featuring live performances from talent coming straight from the stage. Hosted by Tim Rogers (you might have caught him in The Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, West Side Story…) and with leading lady Marianne Benedict (Chicago, Mathilda, Cats…) you’ll be treated to two hours of smash hits from all of your favourite West End shows. Sing along whilst you tuck into a two course brunch- the moules marinière is on the menu, we checked- and to really start the party the first hour of the brunch is unlimited Prosecco, mimosa and margaritas. Now that’s a cabaret to come to!
