Danish homeware brand Søstrene Grene is opening its first London store in Wandsworth

This Friday (12th May) Søstrene Grene is making moves by opening its first ever London-based store. Southside Shopping centre in Wandsworth will become home to the stores 12th UK location. There are already over 265 stores of the Danish brand spread across 16 countries, but this will be the first within the M25.

Since 1973, the brand has specialised in all things ‘hygge’; think minimalistic, Scandinavian designs in a range of homeware, furniture, decorations, gifting, hobby crafts, toys and accessories. They even do a ‘mini home’ range of products for kids! Here’s what CEO and co-owner, Mikkel Grene has said about the Wandsworth opening:

“We are looking forward to opening our Wandsworth store during a very exciting time for Søstrene Grene. It’s an incredible achievement for us to be expanding our market into London and we hope to introduce our traditional Danish “hygge” to more and more shoppers throughout the UK.“

To celebrate the opening on the 12th at 10am, the brand new location of Søstrene Grene is throwing a bit of an opening party. There will be a string quartet to serenade you whilst you shop, refreshments and if you’re one of the first 100 customers then you’ll get a canvas goodie bag filled with treats- including a voucher for a large tufted rug with £60!
