A Clear Comfort is an immersive performance all about Gogh & other LGBTQI+ artists. See the show & have a vegan friendly 3 course meal after!
This summer Van Gogh House and Cafe Van Gogh are teaming up for a really exciting collaboration. Artist Ian Giles is putting on an immersive performance all about Gogh and other LGBTQI+ artists at the house where he lived on Hackford Road. The performance will be an imaginative interpretation that will be brought to life through performers and music by Sophie Crawford. Not only will you get some incredibly unique storytelling, but you’ll also get to see the house throughout the performance, where you’ll be taken all around the rooms.
After the performance Cafe Van Gogh, the vegan eatery just down the road, will be supplying a 3 course meal right there in the grounds of the house. The menu is, unsurprisingly, delicious: you’ll start with a plate of charred broccoli and almond creme, mains is as pulled shiitake, summer squash and spinach tagine served with giant couscous and for pudding you’ll have a refreshing rhubarb sorbet, all of which can be washed down with a Brixton gin cocktail. As we said, delicious.
Perfect for a Pride weekend activity, the shows are running between the 29th June and 2nd July, and will run from 7pm until 10pm (on Sunday there will be a matinee from midday until 3pm). Make sure you get your tickets before they fly- this really is such a unique experience you won’t want to miss out on!
