This salon describes themselves as “a beautiful hair space that embraces the love of effortless hair”. We were sold before we even visited.
Tooting Bec is home to Alexander Adam salon, an aesthetically perfect little place that, though located conveniently on the noisy high street, manages to feel like a proper escape from the busyness of London life. Alexander Adam is mainly a hairdresser, though there are more tricks to this pony than the classic cut and dry. Men’s, bridal, extensions and a long list of colour treatments- whether you are after a little summer refresh or a complete change of look, this spot is a great place to start.
We checked it out and really fell in love with the whole vibe. They have calming music, diffusers everywhere, interesting books to read whilst you wait (not just the standard 10 year old magazines that you get at the chain salons), and they’ll even make you a proper coffee – it’s the full package here. We watched as the team worked their magic and the service was both effortless and professional.
When it was our turn we were treated to a cut and blow dry, colour, tone and head massage from our fantastic stylist, Amy. We really enjoyed our time with Amy- her professionalism meant that knew what would suit my hair but also listened to exactly what we wanted done too. The massage felt so luxurious, it was such a relaxing moment in the day and we came out not only with a brand new hairdo, but also feeling calmer and serener than when we walked in. That’s worth a lot in any Londoners life.
