Things are looking peachy, because this pink-hued cafe is opening on the Northcote Road where Bamia used to be.
This will be the 5th site for the health-forward cafe which is opening on the Northcote Road. And we know what you’re thinking: another brunch place in Battersea?! It’s not a secret that we are saturated with brunch places in SW11, but we believe that you can never have too much of a good thing and Alma certainly looks like a good thing.
They are big on flavourful, ethically sourced and nutritiously dense food so their menu has some delightful twists as well as the classics. For brunch you can get the classics like full English, Turkish eggs and breakfast burritos as well as some healthy additions- a pitaya bowl and a fruity porridge bowl for example. It’s not just morning fare though. At Alma they’ll do you a mean lunch- there’s a make your own option where you can choose a protein, grain base, two side salads and a sauce or more heartier plates like lasagne, a pie and chicken skewers. ‘Cause who said healthy had to be boring? Of course, there’s coffees, cakes, juices and smoothies too- it’s looking like this will be an easy go-to spot whenever you’ve got a craving.
There’s not an opening date yet, so watch this space. New favourite cafe: pending.
