It’s official: festival season is here. Kicking things off was the brand new Project 6. Check out what went on for their 1st ever festival.
Friday 26th May saw the start of the London festival season with the debut of Project 6. The day-to-night party started in Brockwell Park and progressed into the evening at multiple night venues spread over the city is the first of its kind; they were all about carrying on the party after hours when a usual London day fest would have been long closed.
A great ethos that, unsurprisingly, resulted in success. Over 15,000 people descended on Brockwell Park to see performances spread over 7 stages; Shae Universe, Lex Amor, Ojerime, Pip Millett, Mala and Joe Armon-Jones were just some of the big name bookings that entertained crowds in the sunshine. After the sun went down the crowds headed to one of the 10 after-parties hosted by iconic venues all over London to continue the festival spirit.
Here’s what the team at Project 6 have said about the launch of Project 6;
“Project 6 launched in style, with sunshine and people embracing the beginning of festival season. We express immense gratitude to the talented artists who brought an incredible energy to the event. Witnessing the day transition into lively nighttime sessions and the support for various venues across London was fantastic.”
Ok, who’s ready for next years event already? We know we are.
