If you’re nifty with a needle and know your way around some thread, then show off your creations at this event!
Meet and Make Spaces are a Tooting-based creative organisation that hosts workshops, talks and events for the artistic community of South West London. They’ve done loads in the past- from an Earth Day takeover exhibition over lockdown to a Halloween themed drawing festival, they support and inspire up and coming artists.
Their next project is Sew It, Show It, and it’s a big celebration of the slow fashion movement. Hosted in the gardens of All Saints Church on the 24th June between 1pm-4pm, Meet and Make are inviting people to come down and parade some of their creations- whether they are handmade or thrifted from a charity shop, you can don the outfit you are most proud of and join the parade! If you’re not nifty with a sewing needle then you are still very welcome because there will be workshops to help you out, so bring down a project you need some assistance with.
The event will also be apart of the Big Lunch campaign as supported by the Eden Project. So bring a picnic rug, some food to share and (hopefully) the suncream too!
