Sugar Cane Salon is the sweetness you need this winter

The atmosphere in Sugar Cane is always great, and now it’s even better because they’ve got dolled up for Christmas. They’ve decked the halls and hung their wreath making it the perfect spot for some seasonal pampering. Under the decor, their classic trendy interior and friendly staff is enough to tempt us in. The staff at Sugar Cane are incredibly talented. Owner, Farah, refers to them as artists and we totally get why. Every visit there we feel as looked after as if we were a piece of art and this time was no exception.

We kicked off with a luxury pedicure by Eliza. This isn’t a typical ‘in-and-out’ pedicure. This is a proper experience. Sit back on the plush pink chair, pick up the latest copy of vogue and relax whist Eliza uses the most luxurious of products. You’ll even get warm candle wax poured on your feet to get them prepped for silly season (and any strappy heels you might be wearing to evening dos). We went for a festive sparkly rose gold polish. As we all well know, colours like this can take up to 3 coats to get the right depth of colour. But miraculously this one was a one coat wonder and came out perfectly glittery.

Next we headed over to Sandra for a manicure. Precision doesn’t cut it here. She is so meticulous with her method and we really felt she cared about the outcome of our nails. We went for a seasonal sparkly red wine colour, and Sandra even hand painted a little holly on one finger. If you’re after some art, then Sanda is the woman- nail art is her thing!

Finishing up we saw Farah for some brow love. It goes without saying that she is an absolute expert- she actually comes from a fine art background so you know you’re in good hands. She also has the best chat and will have you cackling during the treatment (unless you’ve accidentally fallen asleep, the whole thing is so relaxing we wouldn’t be surprised if you did).

Sugar Cane is made up of a great dynamic. Farah’s playlist will have you grooving and 2-stepping from each treatment and there is an unmistakable merry cohesion between all of the artists.
