You know what Clapham needs? More brunch spots. But Joice is filling a cute hole you never knew you needed.
Joice has proven itself in the avocado saturated world of SW brunch spots, with a cafe already in Balham. Now they’ve landed on the Common and they’re here to fill you with all the cosy breakfast, brunch and lunch you could possibly want.
With lots of homemade Mediterranean salads in the counter, it makes a delicious mid-week lunch spot. If you’re heading to the office we’d recommend grabbing a lunch to go with your morning coffee- just try and resist nibbling that spinach and feta pastry en route to the tube. Impossible. Or head to for an afternoon treat and grab a slice of their homemade cakes. We tried the red velvet and we can promise, they do the classics well. The coffee is great, and we will be back to try out one of their speciality lattes too- from turmeric to Baileys they’ve got a range to suit whatever mood you’re in.
If you’ve a bit more time on your hands, give their brunch a go too. We’ve heard rumours the pancakes are something special. We can’t wait for summer so we can sit on their terrace and soak up the rays… and the pancakes.
