The faces of Brixton are an amalgamation of culture, gender and age. The Wallflower project has captured just a few of them.
Wallflower Brixton is a project that was set up by photographers Jonny Hughes and Joe Twigg. In May last year they captured wonderful portraits of Brixtoners who happened to be wandering past them (they set up on Bellefields Rd) which resulted in a portfolio of the faces of Brixton. Everything we love about the community is shown in the wrinkles, clothes and accessories of the subjects. It’s interesting, diverse and happy, and it’s really captivating.
They’ve been kind enough to upload the images onto their website, it’s worth a scroll.
