On the 7th February Indian-inspired restaurant, Kricket, is putting on an event to end all events. Their first ever Fried Chicken Challenge will be taking place in their Brixton branch and we are drooling in anticipation.

The event is scheduled for the 7th February with kick-off at 6.30pm. The evening will be hosted by Kricket chef and co-owner Will Bowlby and will see contenders cook their very best recipe for fried chicken. And there are some serious participants in the line up. MR JI, Other Side Fried, Around The Cluck by James Cochran, Claridge’s, Richard Corrigan’s Daffodil Mulligan, Tonkotsu and Black Bear Burger will all be submitting entries to the judges.

Speaking of the judges- the panel is no joke. Big Zuu (self-taught chef and rapper), Jimi Famurewa (Evening Standard restaurant critic), KFC’s ‘Chief Chicken Officer’, Kerth Gumbs (chef and Great British Menu 2020 Finalist), Flora Gill (writer and journalist) and Judy Joo (TV chef and restaurateur) will all be eating their way through the entries to announce the winner on the night. It’s got all the ingredients to be incredibly entertaining. And delicious.
