The King’s Head is back! As of yesterday (12th July) the pub has reopened after a few months off to have a revamp. And it’s looking good.
At the end of May this year, The King’s Head in Tooting closed its doors temporarily to give the pub a big refurbishment. Just a few weeks later, they are reopening their newly designed space and are ready to welcome their locals back in. They’ve been careful with the Grade II listed site and the old school character of the place which you know and love is still very much there. But the garden has been expanded (there’s an extra screen for ultimate viewing on game days) and the inside has had a huge refresh.
To celebrate their reopening, they are putting on a big weekend of festivities. On Friday (14th July) there will be tasters of craft beer for you to sample, some delicious bites to eat, a DJ and even a performance from contortionist Viktorija Sibakovskyte. On Saturday there will be even more beer samples and the karaoke will be switched on for everyone to join in with. It’s not just the space that’s had a glow up though- the food and drinks menus have both been tinkered with so even if you can’t make it to the opening weekend, we’d recommend heading down ASAP to enjoy the newness they have to offer!
