The National Restaurant Awards started in 2007 with the aim to celebrate and highlight some of the very best in the culinary world that the UK has to offer. The list is decided by a panel of professional foodies; a selection of chefs, restauranteurs, food writers club together to put the 100 top restaurants of the year into a comprehensive list. On the list were a huge variety of places from all over the country, but who made it to the big time in 2023? Ynyshir in Powys took number one spot and Da Terra in Bethnal Green took number 3 as the first London location on the list.

In the South West of London, an impressive 9 spots made it into the National Restaurant Awards. There are some familiar faces there- shout out to Clapham’s Trinity who made it at to the heady heights of number 34. Check out the full list of SW spots, with their rankings, below. A checklist for the rest of the year? We think so.
