This new eatery in Battersea has got you covered all the way from your morning brew to your evening tipple.
Social Affair is Lavender Hill’s latest cafe and it’s about to be the place that you accidentally become a regular at. This spot is open from 8am every day (apart from Sundays when it’s a 9am start) and closes earliest 9pm every night (it’s 11pm Thursdays through Saturdays). They’ve really got it all going on; window seats to hunker down with your laptop and a coffee during the day or cosy up with a cocktail and a bite to eat a little later on.
The food menu is a little unexpected for the usual cafe fare, but it’s fun and very tempting. They’ve got pinza and pixa pizzas, so you can choose between whichever doughy delight your heart desires. Beyond that there’s a whole section of the menu that’s reserved just for different flavours of mac and cheese (there are 5 to choose from!) and another section for wings and steak-based dishes. So, no, not the usual sandwich or soup offering we’ve become accustomed to seeing, but we’re not complaining. It sounds fantastic. They’ve also got fresh pastries and sweet treats on the counter if you’re there for breakfast or are looking for something smaller.
Social Affair clearly pride themselves on their coffee offering. They’ve got their own blend of beans which they use for their espresso based drinks and a quick scroll through their socials are already showing that customers are rating this coffee. So coffee lovers, stick it on your list. When it gets a bit later the drinks will change from caffeinated to boozy because this certainly isn’t just a cafe. They’ve got beer on tap! They’ve got bottled beer! They’ve got wine! They’ve got a fully stocked bar where they’ll mix you your favourite cocktail! Go for the coffee, stay for the pizza and accidentally never, ever leave…
