Better start saving the pennies if you want a room here, because it is from the same group that has other 5 star hotels like Claridge’s!
The Emory is about to land in London and we have a feeling it’s going to take the city by storm. It’s the newest project by the Maybourne hotel group who already have some of the finest hotels on their roster (Claridge’s, The Connaught and The Berkley are all under their umbrella). It’s also the first new opening for the group in over half a decade and they’re back in style.
It’ll be opening in Belgravia (Old Barrack Yard) in spring ’24, and is likely to be every bit as beautiful as its three predecessors. In fact, the group has said that “The Emory is at once a striking architectural masterpiece and a discreet private residence. A hub for art, culture and contemporary cuisine – where sanctuary-like spaces give way to soaring views over the cityscape.” Fancy. The design of the hotel was done by the late Sir Richard Rogers and Ivan Harbour who, together, have created a 9 floored stunner. Each of those floors have been individually designed by different interior designers, giving The Emory a charming, changing personality as you ascend.
Though the rooms- sorry ‘suites’- will of course be the main attraction, The Emory will be a lot more than mere accommodation. Two Michelin starred chef, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, will be bringing his abc brand to the hotel, where he’ll be taking inspiration from three of his NYC based restaurants. And there’ll be The Emory Bar for an after dinner nightcap. It’ll even house 4 floors an exclusive private members health and wellness club, Surrenne, which guests at the hotel will have complimentary access to.
On top of all of that, there’s also ‘The Emery Standard’:
So… Staycation, anyone?
