These are the best delivery restaurants in SW London according to Deliveroo

Deliveroo have announced the winners of their Restaurant Awards 2024. Here’s where you need to be ordering from in SW London.

The Deliveroo Restaurant Awards 2024 have just been announced and according to the delivery service, there are 6 restaurants with an SW postcode that are particularly worthy of your hard earned cash. Here are the places that got special mentions.

White Men Can’t Jerk (Peckham)

Winner, Regional Restaurant of the Year

This little restaurant is showing that white men can, indeed, jerk. Known for their loaded fries, burgers, tenders, tangy sauces… They make the kind of food that will make a mess but that tastes so good that you certainly won’t mind. At the moment you can find them in The Prince of Peckham which, sure, isn’t technically South West London but they were operating from the kitchen at The Duke Of Edinburgh (Brixton) for a long time. And hey, Peckham isn’t that far to go. It’s worth the trip.

Pizza Pilgrims, Victoria

Winner, Best Customer Innovator

Pizza Pilgrims never fail to hit the spot. Their monthly ‘guest pizza’, their ‘extra, extra’ margherita, their smokey aubergine parm… They all come on those classic Neapolitan pudgy dough bases and we love them all. So what kind of customer innovation is going on here? If you’ve ordered from them you’ll often find your pizza box decorated with personalised messages or maybe you’ve been lucky enough to find a ‘golden ticket’ with your order. They really pride themselves in how their pizzas turn up at your door, and that’s before you’ve even taken a bite.

Shake Shack (Clapham, Victoria)

Winner, Most Sustainable

Sometimes nothing else will do than a big burger, fries and a shake. And now, if you oder from Shake Shack, you can do it without so much weight on your environmental conscience.

KOI ramen (Brixton, Tooting, Herne Hill)

Winner, Best Japanese

Just another award to add to the roster for KOI! It’s no wonder that this Japanese spot rakes in the ratings, with “…every drop handmade, homemade in our kitchen“. It’s great value and consistently great food.

Kricket (Brixton)

Winner, Best Indian & Nepalese

Kricket really has a bit of our heart. Good for any occasion- you can get a pile of plates for hungover days or dress up and lay your dining room table for a swanky date night. Whatever you get, it’s always going to turn up fantastic. Of course you can’t order from Kricket without ordering a portion of those chicken wings…

Eggslut (Victoria)

Winner, Best Breakfast & Coffee

Credit: @eggslutuk

Just one bite of a bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich from Eggslut will make you understand why this breakfast restaurant won best breakfast; a salty mouthful that will blast away any lingering headaches. We also love their Americana vibe; they do ‘biscuits’ (AKA a buttery scone) and delicious coddled eggs too. Make sure to save room for a chocolate chip cookie, which makes for a great breakfast dessert.

Deliveroo founder, Will Shu, has said: “I say it every year, but the standard of finalists and winners for this year’s Restaurant Awards has been incredible.I’ve had the pleasure of meeting a number of restaurant owners to hear about their stories, food, and the positive impact they’ve had on their local communities and we are proud to partner with such an incredible array of dedicated restaurants to deliver food from around the world to doorsteps across the UK and Ireland.”

Looks like our list of places to order from has just got a little bit bigger…
