What are you doing on 30th September? If your diary is blank then here’s something to fill in that space…
Judy McGuire is the chef behind Three Dumplings, her Asian food business that puts on masterclasses, caters for events and, of course, curates fantastic supper clubs. The clubs all run from Judy’s Balham home making them feel even more intimate and this one, on the 30th September, is going to be extra special. The food is all by Judy herself, she’s spent over 20 years in the hospitality industry so certainly knows what she is doing in the kitchen. She will draw on flavours from her upbringing in Singapore and from all over Asia, so expect a real delicious night. Here’s the menu to get you hungry:
1st Course: Prawn Siu Mai, with salmon roe, crispy garlic, chives, and Szechuan chilli oil
2nd Course: Tempura chicken wings filled with prawn, chicken and spring onion on wasabi mayonnaise
3rd Course: Bao buns with caramelised pork belly, crispy onions, spring onions and ginger chilli jam
4th Course: 21 day dry-aged tataki beef ribeye, a sake-dashi-soy reduction, ginger, wasabi, chilli and togarashi
5th Course: Pandan and cardamon creme brûlée with Milo sable biscuits
The 5 course meal will be enhanced by wine parings for each course, which have been devised by Lisa Grannell- another Balham local- who is a wine expert. All the drinks are included in your ticket price too, so all you have to do is turn up and get ready for a spectacular feast. The tickets are limited and likely to sell out, so get them whilst you can.
