Tuesdays have just got better at The Falcon

The Falcon is a well-loved Clapham institution. It brings the sunshine to its corner of Clapham North with its vibrant yellow facade and palm trees in the front terrace, it’ll brighten your day before you even step inside. When you do you’ll be greeted with a quirky interior that’s decorated with posters before stepping into the huge back garden. If you’ve been around Clapham North on the weekend, then you will know the queue to get in can often snake all the way round the corner. We have a feeling that with this irresistible new deal, the same might start happening on Tuesdays.

We sat on one of the sofa booths by the window and would really recommend it for a date location- it’s romantically decorated with fairy lights that give just the right amount of intimacy for a pub. It’s a lovely setting to tuck into their brand new Tuesday steak deal…

And their brand new Tuesday steak deal is something to write home about: order 2 steaks and you’ll get a bottle of wine on the house. It’s a simple, but very punchy, offer. The steaks themselves were fantastic; 8oz of thick, juicy meat that was well seasoned and cooked (pink in the middle as requested). You can choose your sauce and we tried the beef dripping and thyme sauce which was dark and intensely savoury as well as the creamy peppercorn sauce. Both were as good as each other and it was hard to not order a second round. You’ll get a good portion of chips to go with the steak and these, again, were fantastic. No frills but perfectly done: crispy and golden with a very satisfying crunch. For a bit of greenery we also had the nicely smokey broccoli and fresh salad. Our mum would be proud. If horse radish or English mustard is your thing then they’ve got those ready to be delivered to your table. Just ask. As we said, Tuesdays just got better. 

The deals aren’t just limited to Tuesday’s though. Check out the other offers going on all throughout the week:

• Monday: ‘Speed Quizzing’ night. You’ll get a free drink with every burger. The quiz starts at 8pm and there’s a £40 prize for the winning team, £15 for second place.
• Tuesday: Steak night
• Wednesday: Burger day. Get a free drink with any burger, all day long.
• Thursday: 2-4-1 on all pizzas between 5pm and 10pm (stick around until 8.30pm when the live music starts).
• Friday: Fizz Friday. Bottles of Prosecco are £25 and bottles of Moet are £45 all day until 8pm. DJ from 9pm.
• Saturday: Brunch is served between 11am and 3pm. They’ll stick the sport on during the day and the DJ is back at 9pm.
• Sunday: Roasts and Bloody Marys are served throughout the day. When evening hits so does games night; there’s a visiting chess club, retro games (N64, PS2, Wii) as well as plenty of board games.
• Weekday lunch offer. Free drink with any sandwich or wrap served between midday and 5pm.

With deals like that, it’s hard to stay away. The Falcon are ready to keep you entertained 7 days a week.
