Venn Street Market named top farmers’ market in the UK

Well we always knew Venn Street Market was a good one. But now it has been confirmed by a less biased opinion.

According to a recent article by The Times, Venn Street Market is in the top 7 of all farmer’s markets within the UK. Other markets featured include:

  • Truro Farmers’ Market, Cornwall
  • Winchester Farmers’ Market, Hampshire
  • Orton Farmers’ Market, Cumbria
  • Edinburgh Farmers’ Market
  • Stroud Farmers’ Market, Gloucestershire
  • Ashton Farmers’ and Producers’ Market, Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester

And whilst we are very familiar with why Venn Street is one of the best markets in the UK (the people/dog watching, the smells of fresh flowers and big pans of paella, being able to pick up the freshest almond croissant for breakfast…), here’s what The Times said about our local:

Saturday mornings in south London are best spent sipping coffee from Peckham-based roasters Old Spike and tucking into sweet treats from Olivier’s Bakery. Local growers and artisans pop up alongside street food stalls; you’ll struggle to beat the fresh handmade arancini balls with authentic Italian fillings.

Remember to check out Venn Street Market and see how good it is for yourself. It’s open every Saturday between 10am-3pm.
