Ian Stone, Laura Smyth, Jack Gleadow and Carey Marx are taking to the stage at The Bedford to turn any of those Friday 13th frowns upside-down. Head down and grab some nibbles pre-show at the pub and you’ve got a cracking Friday night sorted.
Celebrate all things Scottish at Burns Night

Join Live Canon at a proper Burns Night celebration. There will be poetry, toasts and speeches as well as, of course, a sing-song to ‘Auld Lang Syne’. The event can be live-streamed if you can’t make it in person, but if you can you’ll get a nip of whiskey for the toasts.
Get your dancing shoes on at a Burns Night ceilidh

With your ticket you get a haggis supper and a whole lot of fun. Led by ‘Fiddle Paradiddle’ there will be a right knees up and you’ll be dancing the night away. Dig out those kilts, Balham, it’s time to ceilidh.

Join ’64 Million artists’

Balham Library is hosting a month long #TheJanuaryChallenge. Every day throughout the month there will be new daily activities for you to get involved with, from meditation to poetry writing there is something for everyone. The end of the month will culminate in a big art exhibition too, featuring all kinds of art from all kinds of people- all inspired by a mental health journey.
Life draw and then brunch

If “Eat some food and draw a nude” isn’t the best tag line ever then we don’t know what is. At this 21+ event you’ll be taken through a very relaxed 1.5 hour drawing class where you’ll get to experiment with your own creativity. Once your masterpiece is complete tuck in to a well deserved brunch from The Exhibit’s menu. Now that’s a wholesome Sunday.
