9 out of 12… yep, we are 3/4s of the way through the year. Let’s make this last little bit extra good by filling it with fun activities.
Run back in time
When: 10th September
Where: Meet at the Clock Tower, SW4 0HZ
Get your cardio in without even noticing with this event! You’ll be taken on a guided 6km run where you’ll learn all about the rich history of Clapham and the surrounding areas.
Go to a truly iconic bottomless brunch
When: 24th September
Where: Two Brewers, SW4 7UJ
You can count on the Two Brewers to host an iconic time. They’ve pulled it out of the bag with this series of events. Think drag hosts and performers, live DJs, picnic brunches and bottomless bubbles… all to the soundtrack by some of the UK’s very best tribute artists. On the 24th you can boogie to all things Dua Lipa with Do It Like Dua.
Go to a rainbow plaque workshop
When: 1st and 24th September
Where: Studio Voltaire, SW4 7JR
Studio Voltaire are hosting two workshops, where you can contribute your opinions, stories and thoughts to the 5 new plaques being installed around London. They will be celebrating queer communities and their contribution to society- but organisers want to hear what you want to see commemorated.
Watch a film for a bargain
When: 3rd September
Where: Picture House Clapham, SW4 0AT
The 3rd is ‘National Cinema Day’ and to celebrate, the Picture House is putting on a full day of films for just £3 per ticket! Get your movie fix in and get the popcorn ready!
Go to the fair
When: 10th September
Where: The Polygon
Clear your diaries. It’s back and it’s better than ever. We’ve already written about it and you can find out all the details here. Think stalls, entertainment and that dog show.
Dance with the girls
When: 2nd September
Where: LIT, SW4 7UX
Gather the gals and head to LIT where, for one night only, the club will be exclusively open to women. Get your glad rags on and get ready to have a night to fully celebrate all the hunnies around you. Cheers!
See some ‘eye music’
When: 10th-18th September
Where: Clapham Common South Side
Check out the full details here, but this week-long fully immersive sound, light and tunnel installation has been lauded as Europe’s most unique musical event. And it is right here in Clapham! You better check it out.
