What to do in Tooting this JULY

Pride celebrations, football open training sessions and even a mango walking tour- it’s all going on in Tooting this July.

Go to a Pride afterparty

When: 1st July

Where: Tram & Social, SW17 9NA. Mezzanine

Whether you are going to the march in central or not, you should absolutely go to one of the many Pride afterparties happening in Tooting on the 1st. Tram & Social are keeping the decks spinning until 3am with DJ T.E.Q_, and Mezzanine will have a DJ, body paint and Pride themed cocktails.

Calling all business owners and freelancers! The Small Business Network is hosting their next meet up at The Exhibit, where you can meet other hustlers and network, share tips and come away with an improved black book. Plus, the evening is sponsored by Hayman’s Gin, so you’ll get a nice gin based cocktail too.


Try your hand at football

Where: Tooting Bec Lido, SW16 1RU

If you think you can bend it like Beckham and want to show off your ball skills, then head to the Tooting FC open training session between 11am and 1pm. This is for both existing and new players and is perfect if you want to level up your game in a social setting.


Get artsy at this life drawing class

On the 12th July you can get all kinds of artistic at the Wheatsheaf, where they are hosting a 1.5 hour long life drawing class. With this one you’ll get a free drink and 15% off food- even more of an excuse to get out on a Monday evening.


Go on a mango tour

When: 22nd July

Where: Tooting Broadway Tube station, SW17 0SU

…Yes, really. It’s alphonso mango season and when else would be better to learn all about mangos! This walking tour will show you all the historical nooks and crannies of Tooting, whist getting a good show of the sweetest of treats.
