March already! The blossoms are popping up, the sun is staying out longer and the weather is warmer. Here’s what you should be getting up to.
Get the ‘Laugh train home’

Laugh Train Home has been making people laugh for over a decade. Now they’ve joined forces with Good Ship Comedy, they are continuing to host shows featuring some of the top acts from the British circuit. In the past they’ve had names like Brett Goldstein, Sindhu Vee, John Robins and Sara Pascoe (and that’s just been in the past year!). They’re not slowing down any time soon. This month they’ve got a star studded line up including Janine Harouni (6th), Larry Dean (13th), Jordan Brookes (20th) and Sophie Duker (27th) to name just the headliners! Book your tickets and get ready to laugh all the way home.
Run to work
When: 7th March
Where: Battersea Power Station tube, SW11 8AL
Ditch the crowded tube and the bus lane traffic and take to the streets! On the 7th Asics are encouraging Battersea residents to run to work instead. Meet outside Battersea tube station, drop off your bag with the team who will transport it to their Oxford Street store, AKA your finish line, which is 5km away. Pick up your belongings and a complimentary snack and smugly make your way to work.
Celebrate World Book Day in a sky-high book nook
When: 7th, 14th and 28th March
Where: Lift 109, SW8 5BN
This World Book Day, Lift 109 is being transformed into a reading nook like no other. Jet up above the London skyline, enjoy a drink and be guided through a specially curated book selection by an expert. You’ll even get to take your favourite home with you! Lift experiences take place between 6.15pm-7.15pm or 7.15pm-8.15pm.
Decorate your own cookies

If you’ve got a sweet tooth then head over to Two Little Giraffes where they can take part in a cookie decorating class with Cordon Bleu trained pastry Chef Tatiana Bellator. You’ll get to take 5 of your hand decorated biscuits home with you… And with Mother’s Day on the 10th the timing is perfect!
Celebrate Ghanaian Independence

Find out who’s made the team for the Boat Race

For us, the iconic Boat Race heralds the start of summer and this year the iconic battle between Oxford Cambridge University will take place on the 30th March. But before the crews take to the boat, we need to know who’s going to be paddling! For the first time ever the crews will be announced in a public event hosted at Battersea Power Station. Head over at 7.30pm on the 13th to catch BBC Sport commentator Andrew Cotter and Siobhan Cassidy (Chair of the Boat Race Company) interviewing the captains of each team to get the scoop on how preparations are going for each team.
Go to this yoga supper club

House of Killik are putting on a yoga class followed by a 2 course supper club cooked by private chef and registered nutritionist Hope Pointing. Expect a lovely flow and then a feast of vegetarian seasonal sharing plates. Your ticket includes a drink too! The perfect, wholesome Thursday evening.

Learn the tricks of the trade by the people who know how. JOIA are hosting a supper club/ cooking session where you’ll get a peak behind the scenes of how their stunning dishes are made. Start off with Cava and tapas before donning the apron yourself and making the seafood cataplana (AKA the traditional Portuguese fish stew). Drink some wine, ask the head chef questions and eat what you make!
