South African street food in London is a rare sight, but one bite of this and it’ll be your new favourite.
The only South African street food vendor in London is opening in Tooting this evening, 15th December. Heralding from the diverse melting pot of Johannesburg, Jo Burger (see what they did there) has bought authentic South African street food to the streets of London. They’ve already got a successful site in Woolwich Market, and now they are making their way West to Tooting.
So what kind of food is authentic Joburg street food? On their menu is a huge variety of delicious sounding treats; toasted sandwiches, burgers, pies, subs and a whole lot of chips- apparently those speciality spiced chips are an addictive addition to every order.
Tonight they’re opening in Tooting Market and they’ve got a bunch of deals on to tempt you in even more. The first 25 people will get their order completely free, the next 25 people will get any item for £2 and it’s 50% off all food after that until close. They’re properly treating the Tooting Market crowd this evening!
Yummy Jo Burger is also completely halal and have made a conscious effort to source the best meat and ingredients they can get their hands on. All the food is made fresh daily too… which is great news because we predict it is going to be busy.
